Rand Hindi, CEO of Zama, a fully homomorphic encryption firm, claims the company reached 1,000 confidential transfers per second on GPUs, representing a 5,000x improvement from the 0.2 tps demonstrated at ETHcc in 2022. This performance is not yet activated in production and mainnet launch is planned for year-end. The company reports a cost of approximately $0.000004 per ERC7984 transaction without published test methodology. The protocol launched a confidential RFQ swap product on July 24, partnered with Elliptic for compliance screening and shielded over $121 million USDT on Ethereum. Zama, which raised $57 million in a Series B round, targets 10,000 tps by 2028 and 100,000 tps by 2030.
