Perplexity announced on June 3 the launch of its « Personal Computer » AI tool for Windows PCs, previously available only on Mac since April. The tool functions as a « general-purpose digital worker » capable of accessing local files, opening apps, creating documents, and updating spreadsheets, with integration into Microsoft 365 and Teams. Windows powers over 1 billion devices globally, offering Perplexity a massive addressable market. The company saw approximately 50% revenue growth after launching its Computer platform in February 2026, and plans to roll out local inference on Windows in July 2026.
