The WEMIX platform disclosed that compromised control over a contract linked to its WEMIX$ stablecoin enabled the unauthorized minting of approximately 5.23 million tokens. The stolen funds were converted into 30,736 native WEMIX tokens and 724,198.27 USDC.e, then transferred to Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain via bridges. The company has not issued a final loss estimate or confirmed whether individual user balances were affected.
