Oil prices see largest one-day declines in two months amid pause in strikes

Oil prices fell sharply on Monday, posting their largest one-day decline in two months. The drop followed a pause in strikes by the United States and Iran after 13 consecutive nights of attacks. West Texas Intermediate’s September contract fell more than 7% to $85.02 per barrel. Brent crude’s front-month contract shed 7.5% to $82.62 per barrel.
