Some $9 trillion currently sits in money funds and deposit accounts. The 30-year Treasury yield topped 5.3% this year, including 5.27% on August 14, its highest level since 2007. Over that stretch, Bitcoin has fallen 46% while gold gained roughly 33%. Alphabet and Meta priced corporate bonds between 6.4% and more than 7.5%, a threshold Bitcoin has not reached in this high-yield environment.
