Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), published a reading program called « Upgrade the World » on X on July 25: 38 books across eight themes, requiring 755 to 953 hours of reading, or 13 to 31 months depending on daily pace. The curriculum begins with the history of civilizations and concludes with Satoshi Nakamoto’s whitepaper, with Bitcoin appearing only at the very end with just 10 to 13 hours of the program. Strategy holds 843,775 BTC backed by $3.225 billion in cash reserves, with the company having sold 3,588 BTC in early July for approximately $216 million to fund dividends on its « Digital Credit » securities.
