French MPs are examining five crypto amendments adopted in committee for the 2027 budget starting October 13. Converting cryptos to stablecoins would be taxed at 31.4 % from January 1, 2027, with no minimum threshold specific to the measure. Exit tax would be extended to latent gains on crypto-assets for households holding more than 800,000 euros in crypto and leaving France. Self-hosted wallets valued at 100,000 euros or more as of December 31 would have to be declared, under penalty of fines up to 10,000 euros. The only relief adopted: tax losses could be carried forward for ten years. The final vote on revenues is scheduled for October 20, with the full budget vote on November 17.
