Ripple released 1 billion XRP from escrow at the start of September, then re-locked 700 million, leaving only 300 million XRP (approximately $422 million) in circulation. Buy orders near the current price total just $108.2 million, less than a quarter of the value of the released coins. Daily volume has fallen to about 27.6 million XRP, and the 1-2 year holding band rose from 17.3% to 18.2%, indicating older holders refuse to sell despite the pullback since August 22. XRP trades at $1.4079, above both moving averages, with resistance at $1.4785 and support at $1.3092. According to futures data, large accounts maintain a bullish bias without committing much capital, and their short positions represent the larger trades.
