XAO DAO, a decentralized organization on the XRP Ledger, is preparing a series of major governance changes to be rolled out over the next two to three months. Co-founder Fabio Marzella announced the introduction of wallet voting delegation, quorum rule adjustments, and community mini-grants to make participation easier and more representative. These changes come as several XRPL projects have scaled back or shut down, including Gen3 which discontinued two of its retail products, aigent.run and AxiomProtocol, citing weak user demand and rising infrastructure costs. According to Santiment data, daily active addresses on the XRP Ledger reached 35,700 in August, up from 26,400 in July, a 35 percent increase, even as XRP price neared a 21-month low.
