A political group founded by US Vice President JD Vance, the Rockbridge Network, was approached by a political operative linked to the Bolsonaro family for a rare earths pipeline project from Brazil to the United States. The document, dated March 19, 2026 and bearing Flavio Bolsonaro’s logo, explicitly linked the rare earths supply chain to political support for his presidential bid. Andre Marinho, the document’s author, confirms writing it but says it was never shared with US officials. Brazil holds roughly 19 to 23 percent of global rare earth reserves, and USA Rare Earth completed its acquisition of the Serra Verde mine for $2.8 billion in April 2026.
