The United States has sanctioned two additional Iranian cryptocurrency exchanges as part of the Economic Fury campaign. The U.S. Treasury Department traced over three million dollars in transfers between the Shelbit platform and digital wallets linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). These sanctions are part of a broader strategy aimed at hindering the Iranian military organization’s funding capabilities.
