President Trump, SEC Chair Paul Atkins and CFTC Chair Michael Selig will host executives from Coinbase, Ripple, Andreessen Horowitz, Chainlink and other crypto firms at the White House on Aug. 19. The meeting comes as CLARITY Act odds have collapsed, with Polymarket traders estimating passage at 19% and Galaxy Digital at just 10% probability for 2026. Negotiations have stalled over political disputes concerning ethics restrictions on government officials’ crypto activities, limits on stablecoin rewards and conflicts of interest involving the Trump family. The Senate will have only about three weeks before lawmakers leave for midterm campaigning, leaving a narrow window to secure the 60 votes needed to advance the bill.
