The bill would establish federal rules for digital assets and clarify the SEC and CFTC’s respective authority over the industry. The legislation is expected to return to the Senate floor in September, though Republicans need approximately six Democratic votes to reach the 60-vote threshold. Trump also said the CFTC is working to bring decentralized derivatives exchange Hyperliquid into the United States in a compliant manner.
