Billionaire investor Mark Cuban says chips as an asset class will become the next crypto. CME Group will launch H100 and B200 rental index futures on NYMEX on October 5, turning computing power into a standardized, tradable commodity. Nvidia booked 75.2 billion dollars in data center revenue for the quarter ending April 26, up 92 percent year over year, with total revenue reaching 81.6 billion dollars, an 85 percent annual jump. Cuban sold most of his Bitcoin positions in May. The comparison to early crypto has limits, however, as chips sit in data centers, wear out, and lose value as newer models are shipped.
