The Gap Between Money Creation and Growth Continues to Widen – A Good Thing for Bitcoin?

The M2 money supply of major G7 economies continues to grow far faster than their economic growth, according to data shared by the Kobeissi Letter. Canada shows the sharpest increase, with its M2 money supply rising by 368% since January 2004, while its economy grew by only 159%. In the United States, money supply grew by 279% against 171% for nominal GDP, while France saw an increase of 258% for a nominal GDP up by 84%. This monetary dilution could benefit assets based on scarcity principles, such as Bitcoin, whose supply is capped at 21 million units.
