Tether has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), Kenya’s main stock exchange, to explore security tokenization and the potential use of USDT as a settlement layer. The partnership involves evaluating Tether’s Hadron tokenization platform for issuing and trading tokenized securities, along with digital asset education programs for market participants. The Nairobi Stock Exchange, with a market capitalization of approximately 26 billion dollars, aims to modernize its infrastructure as part of its 2025-2029 strategic plan. This agreement comes as the on-chain value of tokenized real-world assets reaches 36.8 billion dollars.
