Stocks making the biggest moves premarket: McDonald’s, Caterpillar, Palantir, Merck & more

McDonald’s reported adjusted earnings of $3.38 per share, beating the consensus of $3.32, while revenue of $7.1 billion came in slightly below expectations. Caterpillar posted exceptional quarterly results with adjusted EPS of $8.17 and revenue of $20.54 billion, far exceeding analyst forecasts. Palantir surged 15 % following blowout quarterly results and a nearly 150 % increase in U.S. commercial revenue. Merck posted an adjusted loss of 13 cents per share, better than expected, and raised its full-year revenue guidance. Conversely, DigitalOcean dropped 11 % and Wayfair fell 4 % despite beating expectations.
