AstraZeneca fell more than 4% and Bristol Myers Squibb jumped more than 5% following reports of merger talks between the two pharmaceutical companies. Alibaba gained 4% after unveiling its new artificial intelligence model Qwen3.8-Max, set for official release next week. Ferguson Enterprises surged nearly 8% after being added to the S&P 500, replacing Electronic Arts. Circle Internet Group dropped 5% and eBay fell more than 3% following downgrades by Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo respectively. Memory stocks including SanDisk, Micron, and Seagate were all down more than 2%.
