Stock futures are little changed after S&P 500 sets record above 7,800, heads for winning week

Stock futures were little changed Thursday evening after a record session, with the S&P 500 hitting an intraday all-time high of 7,816.70 points. With more than 90% of S&P 500 companies having reported second-quarter results, earnings growth from the prior year is tracking around 50%, according to FactSet. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite are on pace for their third consecutive week of gains, up 0.5% and 0.4% respectively week to date. The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF has gained approximately 28% over the past six months. July retail sales data will be released Friday at 8:30 AM ET, with economists forecasting 0.1% month-over-month growth.
