SparkKitty malware hidden in mobile apps scans photos for crypto wallet seed phrases

Check Point identified the SparkKitty malware hidden in mobile applications that scans photos stored on a device to steal cryptocurrency wallet recovery phrases. This malicious software scans photo galleries for screenshots where users may have saved their seed phrases. Once these phrases are obtained, attackers can access wallets and drain funds. The number of compromised applications and the scale of the campaign have not been disclosed.
