Schroders Plc, the UK-based asset manager overseeing roughly $1 trillion, has been increasing its long-term US Treasury holdings, betting that yields are close to their peak. The firm has made multiple adjustments to its bond exposures throughout 2026 amid volatility caused by inflation fears, geopolitical tensions, and shifting Federal Reserve expectations. In April, Treasury yields surged above 4.5% before the firm reduced its exposure in June, only to rebuild it later. By late August, Schroders upgraded its multi-asset outlook on US government bonds, citing meaningfully improved valuations driven by elevated real yields. The Schroders Core Fixed Income Fund maintained approximately 16% of its portfolio in US Treasuries as of July.
