Ripple has unlocked 1 billion XRP as part of its regular monthly escrow release, split into three transactions of 500 million, 400 million, and 100 million tokens. Following this September unlock, approximately 31.28 billion XRP remains locked in Ripple’s escrow, representing 31.28% of the fixed maximum supply of 100 billion tokens. This unlock does not mean Ripple has sold 1 billion XRP: the company has historically re-escrowed the unused portion of each monthly release. XRP is currently trading around $1.39, up 1.7% over 24 hours and 30.8% over 30 days.
