Stuart Alderoty, Ripple’s chief legal officer, has linked the passage of the CLARITY Act to potential job creation and economic growth in the United States. According to a study by the National Cryptocurrency Association, the crypto industry is expected to support 232,000 jobs in the U.S. in 2026, including 34,000 direct positions and 75,000 jobs in supporting sectors such as law firms and cloud providers. The sector contributes $55 billion to the U.S. economy and generates $31 billion in worker income, with average pay of $133,000 compared to a national median of $64,000. The CLARITY Act passed the House 294-134 in July 2025 and advanced through the Senate Banking Committee in a bipartisan 15-9 vote in May, with a cloture vote scheduled for September 15.
