Relativity Networks, an Orlando-based startup, has raised approximately $22 million in its latest funding round to commercialize hollow-core fiber technology, bringing total funding to about $30 million. Their ChronoCore technology replaces traditional glass cores with air, enabling data transmission speeds 30 to 47 percent faster with a 32 percent latency reduction. The technology is built on more than ten years of research at the University of Central Florida’s CREOL optics laboratory. The primary target market is AI hyperscale data centers, with a strategic partnership signed with Prysmian, the world’s largest cable manufacturer, to scale production.
