Reform UK Drops Crypto Sponsors: What Does Farage Want Instead?

Share

Reform UK has removed cryptocurrency firms from its conference sponsor list for its annual event in Birmingham. This decision comes as a parliamentary inquiry examines whether Nigel Farage should have declared £5 million received from Christopher Harborne, a Thailand-based crypto investor. The party, which holds only 8 of 650 Commons seats, is now turning to diplomats and manufacturers, with envoys expected from India, Italy, Poland, the UAE and the United States. No policy changes regarding digital assets have been announced. Meanwhile, Avon and Somerset Police seized 20.21 BTC and other cryptocurrencies worth £1,032,487.86 linked to darknet marketplaces active between 2016 and 2019.
