Portuguese forward Rafael Leao, 27, has chosen to join Galatasaray instead of Aston Villa, preferring Istanbul over Birmingham. The transfer is worth 45 million euros plus 2 million euros in add-ons. Galatasaray offered him a net annual salary between 10 and 12 million euros, while Aston Villa proposed between 7 and 7.5 million euros, a gap of approximately 4.5 million euros per season.
