The token launchpad protocol Pons generated $5.95 million in fees in a single day on Robinhood Chain, surpassing the chain’s own fee revenue. Launched on July 1, 2026 alongside Robinhood Chain, Pons now accounts for between 50% and 80% of all activity on this Layer 2 network, with cumulative fees exceeding $56 million in roughly two months. The burn mechanism has already removed between 27% and 29% of the total PONS supply from circulation, while the token trades around $0.50 with a market cap ranging from $150 million to $300 million. This dominance is creating real consequences for the ecosystem, with gas fees reaching a record $3.75 million in a single day in early September.
