PayPal’s PYUSD is now natively issued on Polygon and integrated into the network’s Open Money Stack, Paxos announced on December 12, 2024. Native issuance means tokens are minted directly by Paxos rather than transported via a bridge or wrapped token. Polygon processes over $2.5 billion in stablecoin volume daily. PYUSD has a total circulating supply of $2.83 billion across 19 chains, with only $10.13 million on Polygon, representing 0.4% of the total supply.
