US stocks stabilize as oil prices drop on peace talk optimism

U.S. stock markets are stabilizing as oil prices decline, driven by optimism about potential peace talks. The S&P 500 held steady while the Dow Jones rose slightly by 0.46% and the Nasdaq Composite dipped 0.64%. Brent crude fell significantly by about 3.9% to $96.78 per barrel after briefly crossing $100. China has also imposed export controls on dual-use goods targeting certain EU entities as a countermeasure to European sanctions related to Russia.
