Paramount Skydance has agreed to delay its proposed acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery to as late as June 2027, a move that will ultimately raise the deal price. A group of state attorneys general led by California’s Rob Bonta sued to block the deal over antitrust concerns, prompting a judge to issue a temporary restraining order last week. Despite this legal setback, Paramount called the agreement a « significant win », saying it provides the fastest path to trial where it intends to prove the transaction is good for competition, consumers, and creators.
