India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE) is set to go public from September 17 to 21, 2026, with listing expected on the Bombay Stock Exchange around September 24. The offering, structured as a pure offer-for-sale (OFS), involves approximately 126.4 million existing shares priced between 1,700 and 1,785 rupees per share, valuing the company at around $52 billion (4.42 lakh crore rupees). Major sellers include the State Bank of India and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, while over 230,000 shareholders are already registered. The IPO could significantly impact the unlisted shares market, where NSE shares account for approximately 50% of trading volume and currently trade at a notable premium to the IPO price band.
