Nanya Technology quadruples capital spending to $6.2B as DRAM demand surges

Nanya Technology, Taiwan’s largest DRAM maker, plans to boost its 2027 capital expenditure to over NT$200 billion (approximately $6.2 billion), a fourfold increase from its 2026 budget of more than NT$50 billion. The flagship project is a new 12-inch DRAM fabrication plant in Taishan District, New Taipei City, with a total investment of NT$480 billion (approximately $15 billion). Q2 2026 financial results show a 684% year-over-year revenue increase and a 1,324% jump in net income, with a gross margin of 79.5%. The company is also committing NT$346.6 billion (approximately $10.7 billion) to EUV-equipped DRAM production from 2026 through 2029.
