MoneyGram CEO Anthony Soohoo announced on Bloomberg Crypto that developers building on Solana can use MoneyGram’s off-ramp service for cash-in and cash-out transactions at the company’s 500,000 retail locations worldwide. The integration aims to connect the physical world with the digital one by allowing users to convert their stablecoins into physical cash. After a failed deal with Ripple, MoneyGram pivoted to Stellar and launched its own dollar-denominated stablecoin, MGUSD, in June with infrastructure partners including Bridge, Fireblocks and Stellar. Rift became the first Solana wallet to integrate this service.
