Microsoft announced its largest-ever Asia investment of approximately $21 billion in India, focusing on cloud and AI infrastructure. The centerpiece is a hyperscale data center in Hyderabad, set to be India’s largest when completed in mid-2026. Once finished, Microsoft will operate four Azure regions across India, with significant upgrades to existing facilities in Chennai and Pune. The investment also covers sovereign cloud solutions and training programs for over 20 million people.
