Market pricing shows declining probability of Fed rate hikes before mid-2027

Futures markets and prediction platforms signal that traders are betting on the Fed staying put, with major banks pushing rate change timelines further out. According to the CME FedWatch Tool, the odds of at least one rate hike before July 2027 are estimated at roughly 62%, while the chances of a hike in September 2026 stand between 30% and 40%. Goldman Sachs forecasts the Fed won’t begin cutting rates until June and December 2027, while J.P. Morgan projects the next rate hike could come in Q3 2027. For crypto markets, this rate stability removes one of the key macro headwinds that has periodically weighed on digital assets.
