The Lisk Chain will cease operations on October 31, 2026, after which unmigrated LSK tokens will be permanently inaccessible. Holders must transfer their assets to Ethereum via Superbridge or Lisk Bridge before this date, with the bridging process requiring at least seven days. The Lisk DAO plans to burn 100 million LSK tokens, reducing the maximum supply from 400 to 300 million. The project, launched in 2016 as a Layer-1 blockchain and later transitioned to an Ethereum Layer-2 network in late 2023, is now pivoting to corporate treasury management on Ethereum and Base, with LSK becoming a loyalty token within this new platform.
