Liquid Network has recovered 3,400 Bitcoin out of the nearly 4,000 BTC initially withdrawn from its network, representing approximately 85 % of the funds, worth roughly $268.16 million. The white hat hackers returned these BTC in block 965,950 to the original Federation address. The attackers kept 598.5 BTC, accounting for 15 % of the total amount, as an unofficial bounty. Blockstream, Liquid’s technical provider, confirmed that the nodes have been patched as requested during the dialogue with the attackers. Bridge nodes remain disabled, with minting and burning suspended while Federation members coordinate security enhancements across the network.
