L&C Bio, a KOSDAQ-listed company, saw its shares surge 11.76% Thursday to 64,600 won following the announcement of a product to treat facial volume loss linked to GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic. The South Korean firm plans to commercialize MegaAdipoECM, an extracellular matrix scaffold made from donated human fat, with a launch expected in late 2027. J.P. Morgan Research forecasts U.S. GLP-1 patients will grow from 12.9 million in 2026 to 30.3 million by 2030, creating significant potential demand for this facial volume restoration treatment. The company holds patents in South Korea, the United States, and China, and its market capitalization now stands at 1.578 trillion won.
