The Korea Exchange (KRX) announced on September 9 the launch of an after-market trading session starting September 14, running from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Korea Standard Time. This new session replaces the 10-minute auction-style system between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. with real-time order matching. Thirty-eight brokerages representing 95.2% of current trading volume have signed up for the initiative. The long-term goal is to reach 12 hours of daily trading, with a full 24-hour market targeted by December 2027.
