Jefferies Credit Partners is raising approximately one billion euros, equivalent to 1.16 billion dollars, for a new fund targeting the private credit secondary market. The vehicle will pursue a dual strategy: acquiring loans from the firm’s existing portfolios while deploying fresh capital into new lending. The firm currently manages roughly 25 billion dollars in credit assets under management through Jefferies Finance, a 50/50 joint venture between Jefferies and MassMutual. This fundraise addresses growing demand for liquidity solutions in a market where evergreen funds face increasing redemption requests. The Direct Lending Fund II previously raised over 2.1 billion dollars in commitments in 2023.
