Jeff Zucker, former president of CNN, has become chairman of Banijay Entertainment following an $8 billion merger with All3Media, creating an entity spanning 25 countries with more than 265,000 hours of content. Abu Dhabi, through RedBird IMI controlled by Sheikh Mansour, is backing the deal and aims to position the Gulf at the center of global content creation. Banijay Entertainment is expected to generate more than 4.3 billion euros in revenues and 700 million euros in adjusted earnings in 2025, with cost savings of 50 million euros anticipated within the first year. The group already has several productions underway in the UAE, including « The Lost Kingdom of Arabia » and a program about the T.Rex skeleton at the Natural History Museum on Saadiyat Island. Zucker is also targeting major sporting events in the Gulf, particularly the FIFA World Cup 2034 in Saudi Arabia.
