A major in the Israeli Air Force has been arrested for breach of trust, suspected of using classified information about military strikes on Iran and Yemen to bet on the crypto prediction platform Polymarket. This case is part of a series of similar arrests, after a reservist and a civilian accomplice were charged with earning between $162,000 and $244,000 on the platform through advance knowledge of military operations. Israeli authorities are now treating prediction market bets as equivalent to trading state secrets, with previous prosecutions including charges of bribery and obstruction of justice.
