The acquisition of SkyWater Technology, completed on July 31, 2026, for approximately $1.8 billion gave IonQ its own semiconductor fabrication facilities, creating a new revenue stream through foundry services for the broader quantum ecosystem. The company also announced an $8.18 million quantum security agreement with Congruity360.
