Investors express concerns over leaner Fed guidance impact

Under Chair Kevin Warsh, the Federal Reserve has broken with two decades of meticulous communication by adopting shorter FOMC statements devoid of forward guidance language. This strategy has triggered a massive bond selloff, pushing 30-year Treasury yields to their highest level since 2007 and 10-year yields to a 20-month peak. Analysts at Edward Jones, Deutsche Bank, and Morgan Stanley Investment Management have warned about the growing uncertainty this creates for asset pricing. The next major test will arrive with the August 2026 US CPI report, which will land in a complete absence of Federal Reserve guidance.
