Hyperliquid: RWA Contracts Grow from 1.8% to 32.2% of Quarterly Volume

Hyperliquid achieved a major transformation in Q2 2026, with real-world asset contracts now accounting for 32.2% of its total volume, up from just 1.8% in Q4 2025. These RWA contracts generated 213 billion dollars in volume during the period, pushing tokenized stocks and commodities above cryptocurrencies in terms of trading volume. The platform notably launched the first perpetual contracts on the S&P 500 officially approved by S&P Dow Jones Indices, followed by oil, gold, and other commodities. This strategic shift positions Hyperliquid as a direct competitor to established DEXes like dYdX and GMX by attracting traders seeking exposure to traditional assets with on-chain leverage without using a traditional broker.
