Whatnot, America’s largest livestream shopping platform, has reached a $20 billion valuation, nearly doubled since October 2025. Founded in December 2019 by Logan Head and Grant LaFontaine, the app has raised $1 billion through nine funding rounds since 2020. The duo faced 100 investor rejections before ultimately convincing funds like Wonder Ventures, DST Global, and CapitalG. The platform hit 1 billion orders last month, with over 20 items sold every second and 20 million new users this year. The founders, who started with a collection of Funko Pop figurines that sold out in 2.5 hours during their first test, expanded the app to over 250 product categories, with the average seller earning $25,000 per year.
