Coinbase plans to migrate institutional accounts, balances, and positions from Coinbase International Exchange to Deribit on September 9. Clients wishing to opt out must close their positions and account before August 28. On migration day, approximately 30 minutes of downtime is expected: all open orders will be canceled, positions will be settled at the venue’s mark price, and then recreated on Deribit at the same settlement price through matched migration trades. Clients must generate new API keys and close existing margin loans before the cutover. The migration will incur no trading or settlement fees.
