Gulf oil producers are intensifying their demand for tankers to export crude oil, causing a significant rise in vessel prices. Daily spot earnings for Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) operating out of the Gulf have reached six-figure levels. This tightening of the tanker market, particularly on routes through the Strait of Hormuz, suggests higher shipping costs and could put upward pressure on global crude oil prices.
