Google now allows users to toggle off the visible sparkle watermark that appears on content generated by Gemini and Flow. This option is located in the Gemini app under Settings > Media Watermark, and also works in Flow, Google’s AI video tool. However, invisible SynthID watermarks and C2PA metadata will remain embedded in all generated content regardless of user preferences. Since its launch, SynthID has embedded invisible watermarks in over 100 billion images and videos, and processed the equivalent of 60,000 years of audio content. By 2026, Google plans to integrate this technology into Google Search and Chrome, in partnership with major players like OpenAI.
