Flutter shares fell 13% Wednesday after the company missed second-quarter earnings expectations and cut its full-year U.S. profit guidance by 22%. The company reported earnings per share of 49 cents, below the 60 cents expected by Wall Street, while revenue of $4.33 billion narrowly beat estimates. CEO Peter Jackson will step down at the end of the quarter and be replaced by Dan Taylor, currently CEO of Flutter’s international business, effective October 1. Flutter plans to invest approximately $270 million in additional EBITDA in its U.S. business during the second half of 2026 to win back customers and market share, sacrificing near-term profit for sustainable growth.
